Hello to all Hangar Owners and Tenants,
We hope that everyone is enjoying your holidays. COHOTA wishes everyone great family times, and that our local weather cooperates for some great flying times, too.
IMPORTANT: The Department of Airports has developed their “Fly Friendly VC” procedures for both CMA and OXR airports. Please click on the following link Ventura County Airports
for specific information. These departure and arrival procedures are voluntary (in liaison with ATC) and designed to minimize the noise footprint of local aircraft traffic. Please consider using these guidelines as much as possible.
Noise complaints at CMA have greatly increased over the last several months. The use of the Fly Friendly procedures at OXR has been very successful, and acknowledged by many in the community as very productive, including from those that were the most vocal. We need the same success at CMA. Being a good neighbor, by flying as quietly as possible, is good for everyone, including all of our airport operators.

Oxnard EAA Chapter 1469 offers an IMC Club for our members interested in improving their flying in instrument conditions.
The IMC Club’s purpose is to promote instrument flying, proficiency, and safety. The intent is to create a community of pilots willing to share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety, and build proficiency in instrument flying.
The IMC Club monthly programming is developed and produced by EAA, but it does not use a lecture or presentation format. Instead, an actual scenario is presented and is followed by a group discussion – so audience participation is encouraged!

The Wings Over Camarillo Air Show is back! This 43-year-old tradition draws over 24,000 attendees for a two-day weekend that is full of family-friendly fun and excitement
Tickets, VIP Chalet and Box Seats, and VIP Parking can be purchased online at www.wingsovercamarillo.com/tickets.
Hosting the event is the Camarillo Wings Association (CWA), a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer non-profit corporation with the support of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) SoCal Wing, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 723 and Ventura County Ninety-Nines.
The Camarillo Wings Association distributes the Air Show net profits to participating non-profit groups that promote youth in science and aviation, furthering the education of Ventura County youth through leadership and service.

Dept. Of Airports New Payment Method
The Department of Airports has initiated a new secure online payment system that is nowavailable for both airports’ private tenants. This system is designed to make it easier for tenantsto pay their monthly fees. Go to www.vcairports.org for more information.
